| How I was bullied into quitting Pokémon GO Posted: 20 Nov 2019 02:30 AM PST This story takes place some years ago when raiding was first introduced. We were a small community in a rural area and it was a lot of fun running around doing raids. However there was always one player more on screen than we could see IRL. Someone was obviously spoofing their way on to the raids and one of us must be the accomplice giving the spoofer our group code. I personally wasn't bothered by it and thought it was kinda fun to have this mystery character showing up, and it became sort of a joke among some of us to ask about the mystery account. Some people didn't like that at all and since I was the one making jokes about it, I became a suspect. And since then I wasn't allowed to participate in raids anymore. When I showed up on scene they all refused to give me the group code and whenever I wrote something in the local community group chat I was met with either silence or threats. One lady even took it to the next level and wrote to me personally how she had tracked my IP to prove I'm a cheater. Now let me clear something up, these aren't kids. These people are grown ups and some of them even parents. After a while of this I had enough. Wrote a message in the community group chat saying I was done being bullied and wasn't gonna try to participate in any more raids or any other community activities. I continued playing Pokémon GO alone at night to avoid being seen but it got boring to miss out on the best part of the game - the community. So I quit playing. I've since moved to another town and recently started playing again, and I love it! The game has evolved a lot since I last played and my mission now is to catch up and catch them all. | The never ending game of cheaters in Pokemon GO Posted: 20 Nov 2019 04:15 AM PST I do not even know how to word this because i am so disappointed and angry at Niantic and their way in which they are handling players who reguarly break the TOS. We have this one woman in our town, who takes pleasure in kicking out 90% of other players by spoofing to certain locations and kicking them out of the gyms. To this day she has a total of 8 accounts (6 Valor & 2 Mystic). This has been ongoing for over a year now and never seems to stop. We know from another guy that she was on vacation for a week in the last couple of months and let me tell you it was a completly different game in that time frame for all other players. Anyway we tried reporting this person multiple times with multiple people but nothing happened. I even have evidence in the form of pictures (she is sitting with one Mystic account in two different gyms almost at the same time; the gyms are about 1km apart) but I do not think there is a way to get these kind of pictures directly to Niantic. If you guys have any advice on how to deal with these kind of situations feel free to share it with me. Thanks for reading. [link] [comments] |

I realized I had completed my research task and decided to collect my prizes. This included the Zapdos, I decided "why not try a curveball", AND IT WAS EXCELLENT — MEANING: I finished both special tasks that give you Mew and Celebi! So in a matter of 15 minutes I got all three legendaries! I know many of you have been able to do this, but I'm truly a noob and feel really accomplished. I finally have almost enough candy to evolve him for the 1000 Year Slumber research and I'm honestly reluctant to. Everyone I talk to tells me I'm crazy not to evolve it into a shiny Milotic but I've grown very fond of the purple fish I've nicknamed "Fuglyy". It has probably been at least half a year since I've seen one so I can finally get an easier way to power up my Machamps. And I live in a decent size city and not a rural area. I understand the desire from a collector's point of view. But let's say you have a 1 star 2000CP charizard vs perfect iv 1850CP charizard with the same moveset, my experience so far makes me feel that the 2000CP version would win. Is this correct?
