| Posted: 05 Feb 2020 05:35 AM PST Ok, first of all, I am not a cheater in Pokémon Go (that I know of). This is mostly a rant, so apologies if it's not allowed. I'm definitely open to advise on how to resolve this. Anyway, I've had so many 7-day warnings, I stopped counting. It's extremely annoying and I think it's affecting my gameplay to the point I don't feel like playing anymore. I've contacted the PoGo helpdesk a few times and all they tell me is that they can't tell me how their anticheating program works. Which I honestly don't care about and I wouldn't understand it anyway. I'm not a programmer. I just want this warning off my screen when I start the game. Adventure sync doesn't work because of it. I don't get as many gifts from pokestops as I used to... I've tried deleting and reinstalling the game, I've set my phone back to the factory settings. I'm at a loss. I'm not 100% sure if they're related, but it certainly seems like it is. At one point Pokémon Go was a reason to get out of my house when I was in a low point of my depression. [link] [comments] | ||

Sadly, he's not very good, and he looks kinda weird, but he's also the first mono-Flying (and even primary Flying-type) Pokémon, which means we finally get to see the Flying background in PoGo! I was full of the sads over it because I had been on an epic losing streak and I had finally made a killer GL team that resulted in a 6 win streak. So my loving husband trades me his only Umbreon AND IT'S LUCKY! Gave it a special nickname to make sure I don't make this mistake again. TLDR; I am stupid but also lucky. And my husband is the best. I can't earn candies. I feel like there's no point in playing now, it's really taken the fun out of the game. I work in a job where I am constantly moving, but I can't keep my phone on PG all day. It's the middle of winter here, so I'm not outside as much. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, changing all my permissions, but when I go to privacy-health-Pokémon there is nothing there to select. I upgraded to the newest iOS last night, hoping that would help. Still nothing. I also sent a help request to the useless PG chat bot. If anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear them. | PvP cheating via bad connection Posted: 05 Feb 2020 01:14 AM PST Beware of user "locke14943" who is forcing the game for bad connection during fight. I battled against him and was on my way to crush him. My counter were better, my switching, my shielding. suddenly I received bad connection error in the late game and wasn't in the position anymore to attack. In the meanwhile he did a ton of damage and almost defeated me. I won at the end because at some point some attacks of me went through , but I almost lost. Since he realised he will lose the bad connection issue started. I guess he has done some lag switching. all fights I have done before and afterwards didn't had any connection issues. | Is anyone else a little tired of the Team Go Rocket storyline? Posted: 04 Feb 2020 03:55 PM PST Don't get me wrong, I do like that we have access to get the shadow legendary pokemon, but the storyline that it's going with is... getting a little stale for me. Because it's the same thing over and over again. Oh, Team Go Rocket is at it again...? What a surprise. It also feels like most of the words are reused, maybe slightly changed here and there, but ultimately the same. This is some of the storyline logic/questions I think about:
I wouldn't want to get rid of this feature all together, because again I like having access to shadow pokemon and the legendaries. This additional feature has really added a new level to the game that I enjoy a lot. But when it comes to the story, I feel it could be much better. One idea is that maybe this feature could be every other month. Since we just beat the leaders and the boss, maybe they need a months time to recuperate before any devious plans begin (that is, one month doing the task, one month with no villains, them preparing). I would also change up the name of the mysterious component, and change the tasks up to be different month to month (or every other month), and some different writing. It would be fun to get other characters in on this from the Pokemon Franchise, like officer Jenny to help arrest Giovanni, etc. What do you all think about the repetitive Team Go Rocket? | I’m loving pvp way more than I thought I would. Posted: 04 Feb 2020 04:10 PM PST I lucked out and had a few Pokémon that were considered "meta" for great league and invested in them to try out the new pvp. I've hit a wall at rank 4, which has made me look into my other options available and start better team building. I haven't had this much interest in Pokémon go since I hit level 40. I'm not going full meta though, i still value IV's as a collector so I'm sticking with the really expensive options who max out closest to the cp cut offs so I don't have to sacrifice IV's. The pvp league isn't perfect but it's a step in the right direction and I can't wait for the other leagues to open up. [link] [comments] | ||

| Thinking about Ultra League... Posted: 04 Feb 2020 08:23 PM PST So, to my surprise, I'm kind of digging Go Battle League. Haven't paid much attention to PvP before. My understanding is that Great League is where most of the interest is, but Go Battle League is going to rotate through all the tiers, so I find my thoughts drifting towards Giratina League--sorry, I meant Ultra League. Just wondering if any of you with more experience would like to share some wisdom? As an outsider, I have this impression of Ultra League as an expensive wasteland. Costs all the stardust to build a team, and that team is 1. Altered Giratina, 2. A Giratina counter, and 3. Something else. I just get the impression there's not a lot of variety to it. I've been paying the storage on a couple of Giratina for ages now, and I wouldn't mind having something to do with one of them, but is Giratina Wars just going to get stale? [link] [comments] | ||
