Playing the game inside because of the different levels of self-isolation/quarantine. It would be great to have a chance to win a shiny Snorlax from a Go Battle League reward or something similar that everyone has access to. It's also my all time fav Pokémon. I noticed he was the only Pokémon taking some precaution in such a social situation. Everyone scrunched up together in one corner but not Wailord. He knows the drill. Be like Wailord. Sure, I can still knock out a few solo raids here and there while staying inside my car, but the raiding community is basically non-existent in my area at the moment (and understandably so). I am so fucking done with go battle Posted: 26 Mar 2020 08:53 AM PDT Read the title. I have lost about 15 games today because of lag. I just had a battle where i started off with altaria(as always) and it came out dead. DEAD. It just died the second it came in there. I have good service, good wifi, and the lag always seems to benefit the other player. Come ON niantic. Lag needs to be fixed. I get a little lag, but not so much that in makes my rating go down 600 points. I'm also someone who LOVES pvp and go battle, but not when there is this much lag. Interesting title: GBL is an absolute delight Posted: 26 Mar 2020 07:53 AM PDT Imagine going into your 5th game. You're 3/4 so far. You win the coin flip and have the right counters. You make the right switches every time. But the problem is, everything you do is delayed. Your charged attacks don't go off until 2 seconds after you furiously press on them. When you make the switch, EVERY TIME the opponent player just gets to attack you multiple times and activate their charged attack before your Pokémon could even start moving. You won the coin flip. You made all the right decisions. You lost. Why? Because fuck you that's why. Go battle league buggy as ever Posted: 26 Mar 2020 08:53 AM PDT Has anyone noticed today the GBL has been extremely buggy? So far I've had a battle where the 3..2..1.. countdown started while I'm stuck in the pokemon selection lobby before the fight and the only way to enter it was by closing the app and restarting. I've had two fights where at the very end while im trying to get a charge off the battle just stops for 5-10 seconds and I don't get the charge move off. And my last battle I had a charge move go off say super effective and do zero damage while my opponent still had both shields and didn't use one eliminating it being just a graphical glitch. submitted by /u/SqautAss2Grass [link] [comments]

GO Battle League reward Pokemon encounters should not be resource intensive! Posted: 26 Mar 2020 10:06 AM PDT For the past few weeks, we've had opportunities to get Legendary pokemon as our GBL rewards (which is great!), but it can feel more like a punishment when it takes 8 Ultra balls and top quality berries to even capture the thing! That's with GREAT and EXCELLENT throws, mind you. We cannot skip accepting the pokemon (I tried), so it requires us to sink resources into catching the thing. With the social distancing and isolation going on, it's hard to keep up on Great and Ultra balls, which are my go-to for Legendary catches. I get Niantic wants us to earn the Legendary, but frankly, I already earned it by winning in GBL. I don't need to feel accomplishment by throwing yet another ball at yet another pokemon. I would love if it were a 1 ball guaranteed catch, similar to shiny legendaries. That way we still get to earn the catch and stay in the Pokemon world theme, but we also don't just waste ball after precious ball on these already-earned "rewards." TL;DR - Sinking resources into something I've already earned, and cannot skip capturing, feels more like a punishment than a reward from GO Battle League play. submitted by /u/jostler57 [link] [comments]

So, I asked my local raid group if they know who Norman Grossfeld is - but no one has heard of him. I tried looking him up on FB, but couldn't find anyone by that name around here. So I just have fun and I notice that I'll really only run into 1 or 2 really competitive players in any given 5 game match. Usually, when I lose, it's because I got out-played rather than out-collected. Yesterday, I ran an "all shiny" team: Shiny Alteria, Shiny Vaporeon, Shiny Shelgon. In my head I was calling them "Head in the Clouds, Purple Rain and Young Shelgon". I don't mind if I lose to the really good players. I'll get there, or not, but who cares. Gyms being left empty/neutral in my area. Posted: 26 Mar 2020 05:16 AM PDT Walking on my way to work this morning ( I work I'm a supermarket so I am classed as a "key worker") i took down two gyms and put mons in. However when I checked my game on my break I realized that both had been kicked out of said gyms, with only one coin earned between them both. To make it worse the gyms were then left empty/neutral. So I scanned the area of all other gyms near by and yes, they were all empty/neutral too. Had three growlithe outside of my house and caught 2/3 because being close to just shutting the game down but said fuck it and screamed when the growlithe came up yellow. Being a perfectionist sucks. I have steadily moved from 1600 or so to start in Rank 7 to now in Rank 9. Lost maybe 4-6 games in a row and decided I needed a better team. So of course I spent hours during this quarantine trying to figure out what is better. Research tasks suggestions Posted: 26 Mar 2020 02:19 AM PDT Niantic have done a great job lately at supporting players that can't get out of the house. I do however think that now would be a great time to release a few research tasks just to keep us on the game a bit more. Nothing difficult, could just be catch x Pokemon, compete against other trainers and rewards could be a possible shiny encounter. Any thoughts?
