First time back in the game since 2016 and this is my first shiny.

Deep in the Appalachians, this majestic rare beast can be found. Seriously, it was harder to find then a shiny.
I saw a lot of people using AR mode on here so I decided to give it a try myself. Gotta say I'm gonna start using it a lot more.

TLDR it is a 25 hour gaming streamathon designed to raise money for hospitals to treat children in need. They have raised 70 million dollars since 2008 when it was founded.

Healing might be free in the Pokemon world, but it isnt in real life and this charity is designed to pay for treatments for children in need.

Who are some popular streamers you would like to see participate? Would you like to see challenges in game like who can catch the most pokemon, who can gain the most exp, who can catch the most shiny hat pikachus that will never be evolved :'( etc.

Give us some ideas.

The program is live basically all the time, but the major streamathon happens on Nov 7 every year and we will be doing something on the sub that day to promote the PokemonGo Extralife team and all the streamers that help.

Any one is welcomed to sign up, and I will get a link here for those interested in a week or so once we have all the ideas squared away.

PokemonGo Player SHOT in Attempted Carjacking While Doing a Raid

Hi everyone! This happened a week ago in Knoxville, TN, in the United States.

One of our prominent local players was doing a raid (for Gothita, now her least favorite pokemon) from her vehicle. Luckily, her engine was running - but when she parked the car doors automatically unlocked. A truck pulled in behind her and before she could register what was happening they had opened her door and were yelling at her with a gun in her face. She put the car into drive and took off, when she drove off the gun went off, shooting her through her nose. They continued to fire shots after her as she drove away.

Luckily, she is going to be fine - the bullet pierced her septum. She will need a couple of additional surgeries, and is unfortunately out of work at the moment. Our local PoGo community is helping by providing meals, running errands for her, and we are also raising money to help pay her medical bills. We could really use everyone's help if they can assist in any way possible! We're at $815 currently and would love if we can get to $1000.

Everyone, please remember to stay safe and always be AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS while out playing PokemonGo. This happened in the same neighborhood where she lives, it's not the best part of town but certainly not the worst. This could have been any of us and, as we all know too well from prior stories, could have been much worse.
