Met an elderly fellow Pokémon Go player and made a connection Posted: 24 May 2020 09:54 PM PDT Hey guys! I was out for a pokéwalk today to the park near by. It has two gyms and two stops. I Walk my dog there every evening. I always see this one trainer in the nearest gym and from her user name, it indicated she was a grandmother. So, I'm taking over a gym and suddenly I'm booted out because the gym was defeated. Dang! Did someone from a different team beat me to it? The familiar trainer pops up in the gym (same team as me!) and at the same time, I see an older lady on her phone walking by. I asked her "are you playing Pokémon Go by chance?" She said yes and then I asked if she was ******* and she confirmed she was who I suspected! We chatted for a good 15 mins and she explained how Pokémon Go has motivated her to walk everyday and in turn, has increased her health significantly. How fantastic! This was just so heartwarming so wholesome and I really wanted to share this experience with my fellow trainers. We are such a great community. Pokémon Go is for every and anyone! Stay safe out there! Edit: Typo correction [link] [comments]

Anyone else noticing massive battery drain after the new update? Posted: 25 May 2020 08:01 AM PDT I was confused and thought maybe I had downloaded something new that was running in the background but I haven't,the only thing I've updated in the past few days is pokemon. I leave my phone in my back pocket with the screen locked to register my distance because I walk a lot while I work (then turn off my battery saver to get way more steps lol) and usually about 5 hours into work I'm at about 55 percent or so, but today and yesterday I hit 15% before hitting my 4 hour mark.. has anyone else been experiencing this? My phone is a galaxy a50 btw [link] [comments]

Why is glameow's hitbox so large? Posted: 24 May 2020 04:18 PM PDT I never really noticed this before as there weren't many glameow spawns around me, but now with the sinnoh event, they're everywhere. Their hitboxs are so large and I can never even get a nice throw. The ball seems to hit before it really hits the glameow. [link] [comments]
How to perform an Excellent Curveball Throw on Glameow. Posted: 25 May 2020 08:07 AM PDT Okay, so ever since Glameow showed up we've all been annoyingly shocked by how super close this Pokemon is to our screen. All attempts on making an excellent curveball throw would be stonewalled by the fact that you hit Glameow as soon as you release the pokeball. People have resigned to either attempt an excellent throw or attempt a curveball throw, not both. I created this video mainly because I was curious if it was even possible to do both. Yes. Yes, it is. And here's how: Step 1: Attempt your curveball throws at the very bottom corner of your screen.Step 2: Visualize your trajectory like an elbow macaroni, curving in on the inside.Step 3: Release the shot almost like its coming from the x-axis.Step 4: Time your shot and time it well. I know most of you wouldn't even bother or care to do this pointless thing, but I'm really happy with this and hope it piqued your curiosity even a little. PS: I reposted this because they removed my previous post and said I had to follow a format. Cheers! [link] [comments] |
