    PSA: There will be a Tentacool spotlight hour today from 6:00pm-7:00pm local time. There is no need for you to post a picture of all the Tentacool that pop up.

    For those who don't know what a spotlight hour is simply it's an hour Niantic has chosen on Tuesdays to have a specific Pokémon have spawn all over with regular shiny rates if they have a shiny. There is a news article in the game news section with this months chosen Pokémon.

    My dog woke me up at 3am to go outside, and she takes forever to go potty, so I opened POGO to waste time. Instantly caught a shiny skorupi and was then invited on a raid from a friend in Germany. Defeated cressilia with only 5 seconds left and it was a SHINY!!!!!!. Might have been grumpy when I first woke, but no accidents in the house and two shinies was worth it 🥳🥳🥳

    After 4 years we still don't have more types of Balls; why?

    The mainline Pokémon games have had additional types of Balls since Generation 2, but yet somehow PokemonGo has neglected to add additional types in 4 years.

    When the game came out I thought I was an obvious progression and that we would soon get them, but haven't.

    Heavy Ball- makes catching heavier Pokémon easier.

    Net Ball- makes catching Bug and Water type Pokemon easier.

    Fast Ball- Makes catching Fast Pokemon easier.

    Nest Ball- Makes catching low CP Pokemon easier.

    Quick Ball- When used as the first Ball thrown, makes Pokemon easier to catch.

    Dusk Ball- Works best at night.

    None of these are definitively the best way these Balls could be implemented, they're just examples. And I would love to see Niantic add additional Ball types not found in the Mainline games.

    Maybe Balls with bonuses based on the Weather?

    Sunny Ball.

    Rainy Ball.

    Foggy Ball.

    Windy Ball.

    Snowy Ball.

    Clear Ball.

    When you look at your Pokemon's profile, you can see what Ball it was caught with- but the options are still just Pokeball, Greatball, Ultraball and Premier Ball which is strange.

    What do you think? Would you like more Ball options?
