| Posted: 22 Feb 2020 04:39 AM PST My husband and I enjoyed Rhyhorn Community Day in Tokyo! I caught 7 shinies, he caught 10. Not great IVs on most of them but oh well. Once the event ended we decided to trade our 2nd-highest CP Rhyhorns as our one daily Special Trade and it came out Lucky! We still find it thrilling, hours later. I've only been playing 2 months, and living in China means we can only play when we're outside of the country - so having the opportunity to do this CD is extra-special. This is my very first Shiny Lucky and even though it's a 91 I couldn't ask for anything better! [link] [comments] |

Total Rhyhorn caught: 213 Total shiny: 8 Total 3*: 7 Total 4*: 1 (really low level though and not shiny) Despite the weather being scorching hot today, it was partly cloudy the first hour and cloudy the next two so just 1/3 of the time weather-boosted. Triple dust plus star piece is very lucrative! By the way, I haven't caught Rhyhorn in a long time so was the target ring slightly closer or I was imagining? I remember Rhyhorn was a pain to even get nice curveball throw for me. In general, nice CD as always. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 21 Feb 2020 07:19 PM PST Since porygon is the "virtual Pokémon" and it's dex entry states that it can revert itself into data and enter cyberspace, I had an idea that a wild porygon can rarely (1.5% chance) randomly sneak into your box and when clicking on it you will go into the catch screen. I walked 6 kms everyday, I saved up around 400 poke, great and ultra balls. I put the daily bonus on saturday so I would get extra balls on the day of unlock... And now, literally the day before rhyhorn's CD, one of my favorite pokemon for its reference to kaijumonsters, I go ahead and jog to only break my ankle. 6 weeks prior to this event, I planned everything, made sure I stocked up on pokeballs and now literally just a day before I just had to break my ankle. | Posted: 21 Feb 2020 07:34 PM PST I just got a huge lucky streak over this past week. I thought I'd share with reddit because my friends don't play the game much. I just got the ponytas possible to evolve, got a snorlax from battles, got a rhydon, made a new main 2000+cp team,got enough to evolve a arcanine,caught 2 dittos over the past 3-4 days,got 2 flareons (one of them is one of my best), evolved a turtwig and treeko,got and purified a golbat, and won a bunch of online matches. Sorry if this seems like a lot I kind of expect this to die of very soon but reddit is the only place where people might want to hear it. This has made me very happy and this is a lucky streak combined with other games on my PlayStation. [link] [comments] |

My boyfriend and I didn't get to play much due to running errands, and for the last hour and a half, I stayed home with our phones while he saw a friend. I also caught things for us both while he drove. My haul: 3 shiny Rhyhorn and 1 shiny Gligar. His haul: nothing. Nada. Rien. Gotta tell ya, I felt guilt every time I found a shiny. Every click for him was me internally praying he'd get one, too, but nope. Feels bad, man. Especially the Gligar. Of course I'll give him a shiny or two, and I generally have good luck that I share with him, but catching your own is just, y'know... You want to have it, too. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 22 Feb 2020 02:07 AM PST So I discovered today, while out on my community day rounds, that there is a collector bonus of 100xp for each time you collect 100 of a Pokemon. While I appreciate the gesture, surely something even just a little more than 100xp would be nice. Given I am currently aiming to reach 2.5 million xp for level 38, it doesn't make much of a dent... This is not a complaint though, as tbh I never even knew the bonus existed after 3 years of playing! Lol [link] [comments] |

Me and my sister decided to roll the dice on a 0* shiny trade and both ended up with 3* shiny lucky Pokémon with CD move! Couldn't be happier with that outcome :D [link] [comments] |

| Battle League Rank 7 pokemon rewards Posted: 22 Feb 2020 07:05 AM PST Battle League definitely has its ups and downs, especially when you're running a non-optimal team and being forced to play in the ultra league (most of my pokemon are either peons because I don't care or maxed due to Team Rocket + raids). Which, it's honestly whatever for the most part--my goals were scraggy at rank 4 and gear/deino at rank 7. Lo and behold when I did make rank 7, I had used a battle pass because I incorrectly assumed that deino was an auto-appearance and instead caught a poop skarmory (Literal poop. 10/10/10 nonshiny). I haven't wasted a battle pass since then so I've only managed to reach the necessary four wins two other times, and both of those pokemon were snivy. From everything I've read online, rank and rating should have no effect on the randomization (other than more pokemon are added to the pool at rank 4 and 7). Is this just really bad luck on my part, or have others had similar experiences? I will say it's darn frustrating to be so poorly rewarded. I live in the country and have "weak connection" issues all the time + get tired of getting three wins and falling short of that fourth victory. I don't really have the time or energy to metagame hardcore (all that rare candy I'd need to upgrade my single giratina, ugh). Thus, I don't really expect much in the long run, but it still feels very bleh. Especially since we can expect snivy to show up in a near-future community day. Just bleh. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 21 Feb 2020 11:51 PM PST Im currently abroad in australia and didnt get much time to play but i saw a couple ehyhorns during my trip at kangaroo island, the 1st 1 i clicked was a shiny so i caught and evolved it to rhyperior. Cd hours were 3pm-6pm local time, while being able to evolve for rock wrecker untill 8pm. I evolved mine at a minute to 6 seeing as i didnt get any better shinies and had enough candy for only 1 evolution. It turnd out with mud slap and surf. Litterally screwed. Edit: i have screen shots with the shiny rhyhorn and my phone time to prove that as well as the date and place it was caught in, tho i dont know how to upload it to here.
