    Like I get it, youre happy about your shiny or your good IV's... but the fact that when I sort by new, in the first 10 posts I can see FIVE shiny Mewtwos...it's getting excessive.

    Like I said, it's fine to be happy about shinies, but the entire front page and New is literally just Shiny pokemon... no effort put in, nothing unique about them...just a picture of a shiny....

    We get it....people get shinies, it's not skill based and ironically, they're NOT unique.

    The main issue is the divide it's making in this sub and the toxic back and forth that is going on in EVERY SINGLE SHINY post comment section.

    Kanto and Johto Throwback Challenge Rewards Pokemon

    Did anyone realise that Kanto Challenge Rewards Pokemon are actually the respective gym leaders final pokemon?

    In Kanto Challenge, we have:

    Gym Challenge Reward
    1 - Brock (Rock) Onix
    2 - Misty (Water) Starmie
    3 - Lt Surge (Electric) Raichu
    4 - Erika (Grass) Tangela (Could have been Vileplume)
    5 - Koga/Janine (Poison) Weezing
    6 - Sabrina (Psychic) Alakazam
    7 - Blaine (Fire) Arcanine (Could have been Magmar)
    8 - Giovanni Nidoking
    Final Reward Mewtwo

    In the Kanto Challenge, everything fits perfectly! With the final reward being Mewtwo, you essentially completed the entire challenge of Gym 1 - 8 and catching the final pokemon in Kanto.

    However, in the Johto Challenge, there are many pokemon that are rather weird:

    Gym Challenge Reward
    1 - Falkner (Flying) Xatu (Where did this bird come from???)
    2 - Bugsy (Bug) Pineco (Scizor would have been better)
    3 - Whitney (Normal) Miltank (THAT UNSTOPPABLE ROLLOUT)
    4 - Morty (Ghost) Misdreavus
    5 - Chuck (Fighting) Hitmontop
    6 - Jasmine (Steel) Skamory
    7 - Pryce (Ice) Piloswine
    8 - Clair (Dragon) Donphan (????)
    Final Reward Ho-oh (With Earthquake)

    As you can see, Johto Throwback Challenge isn't as perfect as Kanto's.

    Most of the rewards belong to the Gen 2 version of the pokemon type that is used by the respective gym leader, except for Donphan. It would have been a nice touch if they had given a Seadra with dragon scale.

    Not sure if this easter egg has been pointed out yet or not but it certainly is a throwback indeed!

    I'm so sick of Pikachu. There, I say it. 6yo me would be pretty disappointed at but come on. The game is great and I came back to it with the quarantine but I was already a bit tired of the Pikachu dynamic and after the time off I came back to the same. But the combats with random people are great though so thanks for that.
