    Four years ago a Dragonite spawned near The Pike in Long Beach and hundreds of people ran half a mile (through bushes, upstairs, over a bridge, and past a hotel parking barricade) to get it.

    Everything about it winds me up, The recommended battle party is always the weakest possible. The stupid tag lines before the battle. The absolute garbage Pokemon you can catch. The fact that there is a medal challenge to beat 1000 of them, I'd rather take 1000 kicks to the dick. The fact you can fight two monster Lapras and a shifty and end up catching a 0 IV CP 300 lapras, or even worse catch a bloody pineco after fighting dragons and stuff.

    It. Is. So. UNREWARDING.

    I realized that clicking on a Pokémon and seeing that it's shiny is pretty much the equivalent of opening up a pack of Pokémon cards and getting a holographic one

    The slight rush of getting a shiny from Pokémon Go reminded me of when I used to open old Pokémon booster packs, and how excited I would get when I saw a holographic card. Seeing the sparkles from any shiny almost mimics that exact same feeling of seeing the glittery stars of a holographic Pokémon card. Thankful for the slight nostalgia through Pokémon Go!
