    Niantic, since you're deciding to revert changes back to pre-COVID, can you bring back EX-Raids and Monthly Giovanni Missions?

    I think it's only fair that starting to revert the quality of life changes back to normal, we should start to see EX-Raid invites again for an extra incentive to play again, and also monthly Giovanni missions that were keeping people engaged.

    For the latter, I don't really understand why the missions were removed in the first place since the addition of balloons. I can't say their goal is to get us out gathering and playing again, but a lot of posts I've seen point towards the number of players rising again, as well as people going out and playing as if there isn't a pandemic going on.

    What exactly has been improved upon this year? If you don't count the temporary quality of life things going on, what exactly has been game changing or exciting for us all? Mega Raids would probably have been all the more stressful on players had remote passes not been created, which are still a bit of an irritant in the way to obtain mega energy, or the lack there of.
    A lot of old features removed.
    There hasn't been a legendary in Field Research since January.
    Remote raiding is somewhat of a good thing, but it's almost like a legitimate way to spoof if you want to pay

    I understand COVID is happening, but time hasn't stopped. And it honestly seems like there have been more players lately than the past few years (I'd say there's been more now than ever, but I don't think we've surpassed quite what it was when it first came out in 2016). But it almost seems like a lot of things have been dimmed down in the game or halted, when people are still playing the game like nothing is going on, or the temporary features added now can substitute for a lot of the quest steps in these missions (such as the Rocket balloons I pointed out)

    Shit, why not just make Ex-Raids like remote passes for the time being, and available to join remotely? I'd love to hear everyone's opinions and takes on this and what's going on with the game or possible ways to bring back old features that have since been removed because of what's going on.

    After playing this game for four years, I decided to use a protect shield during a battle. It was then that I learned that you get them every battle- you don’t have to buy more- and I could have been using them this whole time.

    Pain, just lots of pain. Smiling through it all.

    On the bright side, battles have become WAY easier to win and my revive usage has dropped significantly.

    What are some things you learned WAY too late into the game?
