10 km eggs and their terrible pool Posted: 30 Sep 2020 12:50 PM PDT If you agree with this, upvote so Niantic sees this! 10 km eggs are supposed to hatch rare pokemon but there are some real trashy pokemon in there. The trash pokemon are:
The reason they are on the trash list is because their max cp when fully evolved is less than 3000. In total, there is around a 45% chance of hatching one of these trashy pokemon. Feebas is just 2km junk being put into 10km eggs. Shinx should be moved to 5km eggs as Luxray is not a top pokemon AT ALL. Luxray's max cp is less than 2700 and it is outclassed by even Jolteon! Alomomola should be in 5km as its max cp is just 2169 and it's nowhere near the top in terms of water types. Klink basically has the same problem as Shinx, and Absol's problem is basically the same as Alomomola's. TL;DR: The 10km egg poll is full of trashy pokemon and needs to be updated asap. Thanks for reading this post and Niantic, please make some changes! [link] [comments]

Majority of our submission get refused even if they are 5* in the guidelines Posted: 01 Oct 2020 03:48 AM PDT I am a player from the north of Morocco, I am 7Km as the crow flies from Spain, and the majority of submissions that I have to judge are from Spain, except that I am not a specialist in Spanish nor in Spanish history. The majority of our submissions in Tangier and northern Morocco are refused, I imagine it is for the same reason, this constitutes a huge handicap for the development of the game in the northern region of Morocco. Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres Predictions and Speculations in Pokémon GO Posted: 01 Oct 2020 04:59 AM PDT Hi everyone, Since the Galarian Formes of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are set to be released in Pokémon Sword and Shield on October 22nd, I wouldn't be surprised if they would soon be released in Pokémon GO as well. (save your candy these weeks!). I thought it would be fun to speculate about their impact in the current Meta's if they are to be released soon :) I'm curious about other people's thoughts. Also, this is the first time I'm posting something on Reddit, so apologies up fromt if it's not that great of a first attempt. First, a small, personal analysis of the three. For convenience, I assumed that their stats will be identical to their original counterparts. Zapdos and Moltres kinda look as offensive 'mons, and Articuno still looks as a defensive one so it would make at least a little bit of sense. Also, please keep in mind that everything is speculative, and that it's not possible to run simulations yet. Movesets are based on what the Kantonian forms can learn in the main series, supplemented by moves from their new types. The rest is just my personal thoughts on them, and I'm curious about yours :) Articuno: Typing: Psychic/Flying Weaknesses: Electric, Ice, Rock, Ghost, Dark Resistances: Grass, Psychic Double resists: Fighting, Ground Predicted moveset: Confusion, Gust Psyshock/Psychic/Future Sight, Hurricane, Ancientpower Raids: Can be very short about this; not very useful. Max CP is too low and it's geared towards defenses. Competition in the Psychic department is way too strong. As far as Flying types go, Kantonian (and Galarian?) Moltres will probably still hold the crown, followed by the likes of Rayquaza, Honchkrow, Dragonite, etc. Great League: Most likely unavailable because raid CP is over 1500. If, somehow, it were to be available, it's probably going to be a worse Hypno with more weaknesses which is less spammy. It does have a neutrality to Bug going for it, but it's still going to lose hard to the most prominent Bug type, Galvantula. Gust could be useful for hitting Abomasnow, Medicham, Meganium, Shiftry, Tropius, and Umbreon harder. If doing so, it will have to compete for a team slot with Skarmory, which is just flat out better. I know they have very different weaknesses and resistances, but running two Pokémon with Flying type fast moves isn't the greatest idea with all the Steel types running around. Ultra League: Could be usefull here as it's stats are leaning towards defenses. As a confusion user it would have to compete with Armored Mewtwo which has a better moveset and slightly more bulk. Type-wise it does have some advantages, like not being weak to (the very rare) bug type moves (Heracross comes to mind), and resistances to Grass and Ground. The move Gust has some cool uses as it will absolutely demolish Grass types (although Venusaur, the most common one, is already weak to Confusion). You also get to do neutral damage on some steel types like Scizor, Escavalier, and Ferrothorn, which the other Psychics can't touch, as well as Dark types like Alolan Muk and Obstagoon. Master Leauge: Articuno's CP is most likely too low to be relevant here. Some low-CP Pokémon can function here, like Togekiss and Swampert, but they are exceptions due to amazing movesets and/or typing. Articuno has neither. Zapdos: Typing: Fighting/Flying Weaknesses: Electric, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Fairy Resistances: Grass, Fighting, Dark Double resists: Bug, Ground Predicted moveset: Counter, Peck Close Combat, Drill Peck, Ancientpower Raids: Like Articuno, probably not too usefull due to strong competition. As a fighting type, you're always going to be irrelevant without either Dynamic Punch (not likely to get it because, well, it has no arms/fists) or Aura Sphere. As a flying type, Peck/Drill Peck are not the greatest moves. Things could change though, if they decide to give it Sky Attack which Kantonian Zapdos can learn through the move tutor in USUM. Great League: Again; most likely unavailable for the time being as it's CP at lv20 is over 1500. When it will be available it can make quite a splash though. It's typing is pretty nice for the current Great League meta because it's STAB moves have perfect neutral coverage besides some odd type combinations (Electric/Flying, Electric/Ghost and Electric/Fairy). It's also a flying type that can beat Bastiodon, which is pretty impressive. The fighting moves also ensure a lot of damage against Ice types like Lapras and Dewgong so that it can at least fight back in these scenarios. Ultra League: Zapdos in the Ultra League will probably have to compete for a team slot with Machamp. Machamp will probably still be better due to Rock Slide, but Zapdos has some niches in that it can beat Venusaur and Poliwrath more reliably. It does however come at the cost of losing to things like Charizard (which will be insane in Ultra League after the October Community Day) Articuno, Dragonite, and Lapras. Master League: Will probably get destroyed by all the Dragonbreath users, Togekiss, and maybe even Dialga which is a fighting type's main role to counter. Also faces the same competition from Machamp as in Ultra League. If you desperately need a Dialga/Steel killer, you're better off with the likes of Groudon, Melmetal, and Machamp. Moltres: Typing: Dark/Flying Weaknesses: Electric, Ice, Rock, Fairy Resistances: Grass, Ghost, Dark Double resists: Psychic, Ground Predicted moveset: Snarl, Wing Attack Dark Pulse/Foul Play, Sky Attack, Ancientpower Raids: As the only one of the three, Moltres actually has the potential to be very useful in raid battles. As a flyer it (probably) has the same moveset as Kantonian Moltres, which is the top Flying attacker at the moment. Little side note is that it has no Fighting and Bug resistance, and Kantonian Moltres has a double resistance to Grass. This means it's probably going to match the DPS, but not the TDO. As a Dark type it has some potential as well. At the moment, the best Dark type attacker is Darkrai, followed by Weavile. Moltres would be sitting right in between at the nr.2 spot. Kind in mind that Ghost types usually prey on the same raid bosses (Psychic and Ghost). They usually have higher DPS, but much lower TDO due to a lack of resistances. Great League: Like the other two, most likely unavailable for the time being. But even if it will be available, it probably has no place here. It will get absolutely destroyed by most of the top-meta picks like Azumarill, both Stunfisk, Bastiodon, Galvantula, Charmers, etc. Even the things it's supposed to deal with usually have coverage to hit it very hard, like Hypno, Drifblim, Deoxys, Mew, and Cresselia. Ultra League: Moltres will have its place in Ultra League, but most likely won't be top-meta. It will be very matchup dependent as a lot of stuff will absolutely butcher it, like Charmers, Fighters, and Articuno. It does have some important positive matchups like the obvious Giratina's, Grass types, and Gengar. Cresselia will be a close match but it's impossible to be sure until we have all the information and we can run some simulations. All in all, it's a bit of a high-risk-high-reward Pokémon. It has some hard wins but it's not exactly a safe option. Master League: Probably not worth it as it's too frail to stand a chance to all the Dragonbreath users. It will also lose hard to Togekiss, most Steels, and Fighters. It does have a niche in defeating the Giratina's and Mewtwo, but doesn't really do much else. [link] [comments]
I’m amazed at the toxicity in this game. Posted: 30 Sep 2020 03:50 PM PDT I recently moved into some new apartments and I was so excited to be living literally on a gym with about 3 stops within grabbing distance. Was pretty awesome for a couple of weeks. I would take the gym get a day or so and a blue would take it for a day or so. Basically we traded coins back and forth. Was pretty awesome. Well about 2 weeks ago a yellow player showed up and has been holding the gym pretty much all times of the day. He also apparently is willing to just drop golden razzes in there for good measure. I made less than 5 coins for three days straight, so I decided the next day I would kick him out every chance I got once I got home from work. Success! I got him to stop for a day and a half. Also I haven't seen the blue in over a week. This week I let him have the day and I was going to grab it at night only. It worked for a single night. The next day he went back to grabbing it after I went to bed. So back to no coins. I want to point out he grabs the gym back at very strange times like 4:40 AM and almost always manages to take mine out before I can even get 5 coins. Anyways fast forward to today, I saw he had 10 hrs in the gym so I took it back this morning. He had gotten his 50 coins for the day, so it was my turn. I got 2 coins... I came home from work and was resolute to get my coins today if I could or at least some of them. So I too the gym and was going to peak at it every once in a while to see if I could hold it long enough to make some. ... And lo and behold! He didn't just take the gym after like 20 minutes, but he even changed his name to my name with an added 'Sux' after it. Like really... I just want coins, but whatever. Literally, not worth the effort. My brother doesn't even want to play anymore because of this guy. I guess I'll just stop playing for awhile. There is better uses of my time. I'm assuming there isn't a way to report this behavior, so I'll just hope he goes away eventually. Quick edit: I should probably point out that this is In fact the only gym within walking distance and it's not like I'm quitting the game or anything. I just wanted to vent a little frustration at the whole situation. [link] [comments]
When these features are removed, there is a 100% chance the playerbase will plummet Posted: 30 Sep 2020 08:31 AM PDT I started playing when these features were already in effect, and I can absolutely guarantee that a massive amount of users will stop playing. If Niantic is smart they will never revert these changes. I cannot imagine staying invested once they remove them. Are these features implemented because of COVID? If so, it would be a huge mistake to remove them. Tons of people I know started playing during the pandemic and having them removed will be detrimental to the game. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Sep 2020 09:08 AM PDT A lot of us are butthurt over Niantic preemptively lifting the "COVID bonuses". A lot of that stems from the fact that we live in a place where either a) you can't go outside unless it's a necessary trip in your country due to restrictions in your country/region. b) you have an auto immune disorder or are otherwise higher at risk of complications. c) your region is getting bad again and experiencing a second wave due to negligence/burnout etc. Eg. With Thanksgiving right around the corner in Canada there will be an inevitable spike in 3-4 weeks time. d) it's a global freakin' pandemic and you're just wanting to be a safe and contentious person who wants to stop the spread and do their part. A lot of us are relying on this game as a great, socially distanced distraction from everything shit in the world right now and they're looking to tell us "dun worry. Is k" If you don't like it, let THEM know via a conversation over support in the app, twitter, Facebook, or anywhere else they have setup a public portal where your words go directly to them. Obviously a public forum is best. A few well written gripes with heaps of likes, shares, and reposts will get a point across. At the end of the day they are a business here to make money. If enough of their customers let them know this is not ok they will have to change it. If they don't, then maybe we can look at a weekly strike or something but right now. Tl;dr - If you don't like the fact that Niantic is lifting the "COVID bonuses" let them know why it isn't safe of feasible via Facebook/twitter/direct support convo. Let's make it happen instead of venting about how evil they are to each other. [link] [comments] |
