I've just had to use 3x pokeball, 3x Ultraball, 2x Pinap berry, 2x Razz berry and finally 2x Golden Razz berry... ...to catch a 455cp Vanillite This really does seem to be the norm for me of late, everything breaks out of the ball without much struggle. | New Pokemon harder to catch than legendaries Posted: 22 Dec 2020 04:07 AM PST As the title suggests, in recent times whenever Niantic releases a new pokemon , the catch difficulty is somehow set to max. Im tired of seeing bunnelbys and littleos with the max red catch rings(even with ultra balls) and then expending ultra ball after ultra ball trying to get them. The same thing has happened with vanillite.If it was only for a week i would maybe understand (not really, just taking into account ninatics capitalistic greed) but the same max catch rings persists months into a new release. Niantic probably has yet to understand that not all their players are whales and live in pokestop dense areas and that pokeballs are a scarce resource for rural players (i know theres an increased gift opening amount right now, but this is a general case), especially since people are being forced back indoors as the pandemics aftershocks start to hit. Rant over, hope something gets done about this (although looking at how quickly they rolled back the earlier covid bonuses as well as the fiasco that is remote raid passes this will probably fall on deaf ears) [link] [comments] |

TL;DR: I would love to be able to send stickers with actual HELPFUL or useful 'stock' messages on them, as opposed to the weird/confusing "thank you thank you thank you!", "Oh yeah!" or "BYE!" stickers (thank you for what? is that happy "oh yeah" or sinister "oh yeah"? and wait, bye to WHO? am being unfriended? what?? 😭 lol yall know.) NON-TL;DR elaboration for bored folks with longer attention spans... possible examples: 🔹Players who are not worried about XP can send a sticker that says "Open gift any time!", allowing lower level players to level up friendship and not waste days trying to track people down. 🔹Conversely, somebody who really wants to make sure they have an egg going could send a sticker that says "PLEASE COORDINATE =)" when they approached milestones. 🔹Players who have been away from the game for a little while and worry about getting it removed from other people's lists can send a sticker with a gift that says "Don't worry, still here!". 🔹Players somebody may not know in real life and could never utilize lucky trades or anything with might be able to send a sticker with an x on it to let the other person know it's okay if they remove them from their friends list to create space...I've kept many people who weren't participating as much with gifts and didn't care if they had less friends, but I wanted to be courteous. 🔹Players trying to complete a task or gain badge battles or something could send a gift with a sticker that said "PVP anytime please!" or similar 🔹If Niantic were to bless us with the ability to trade longer distances in the future, sending stickers with "trade today?" Or similarly could help people clear out local lucky trades they want to make but can't coordinate because they only know the person by their Pokemon name and cannot contact them 🔹 other cute things! ones that may not exactly useful but are still relevant, for example "nice username!" or "I love your buddy Pokemon!" or "your avatar's outfit is cool!" Beyond that, obviously stickers of just a Pokemon character without any particular message, or seasonal stickers, that's whatever. Sorry that was long, I just really hate the sticker mechanic & get mildly furious once in a blue moon when I remember how many I have and that I can't delete any of them. | I really miss challenging Special Research Posted: 22 Dec 2020 02:56 AM PST This has been on my mind for a while, but I really miss having something difficult to kind of 'plug along' on. I was never a hyper competitive player that tried to get through all the research asap, I like it let it play out as I played, but it gave me a bit of focus day to day. This Shiny Celebi is the first special research we've had in ages and the hardest part was waiting for the right balloons to show up. It was only 4 stages long. Ugh. I just found it a week or so ago. I have learned so much that I didn't know about the game and gotten more help and kindness from others. Even made a few new game friends who are actually interacting with me with gifts and remote raids. It's made it more fun for me. I'm on disability and spend 90% of my time in my home. Posted: 21 Dec 2020 08:16 PM PST I'm not sure if it happens where you're at, but I'll take over a gym and have two or three Pokémon below 300 CP dropped in by players over lvl 38. Update: Some interesting comments, I didn't think about Pokemon getting stuck in gyms since I live in a city where it's pretty fierce competition... You can have a gym with six high CP Pokemon (~2500+) and someone will come after you within 2 hours [link] [comments] |
