| Posted: 17 Jul 2021 12:22 AM PDT From the perspective of a US player :) I used to see things like this over on the Destiny subreddit before major updates and expansions would drop, so I thought I'd try my hand at one! Twas the night before Go Fest, and all through the house, Not a creature was stirring, especially that little electric mouse. All of the trainers were ready for the two days of fun, some of them brave enough to go walk in the sun. All of the items bags stocked with balls red, yellow, and blue. With the hope and desire to catch something shiny and new. Lucky eggs, incense, and all the raid passes. Items essential to have them in masses. The theme this year music, with new sound that rocks! But as we all know, some prefer pops. Day twos about raids, and day ones about catching. But both days will give us half distance egg hatching. We all play this game cause it's something we love, and after five years it still fits our phones like a glove. So shiny luck to you all, keep up the good fight! The spawn pool is more expansive than ever before and tomorrow we get to raid Legendaries which some of us may habe missed out on before. I know we all complain avout Niantic a lot, but I think we should take a moment to appreciate the huge community that came with this game, and how far it's come since 2016. | Why does Niantic not care about cheaters? Posted: 16 Jul 2021 08:26 AM PDT There are players that are OBVIOUSLY using accounts that were heavily botted, and/or spoofed. Saw multiple players in Mewtwo raids with 800k+ pokemon caught, but that wasn't the suspicious part. It was the 187,000+ KM walked statistic. That comes out to 116,196 miles, which with Pokemon Go only being 1825 days old, that's an average of 63 miles a day. Is that technically possible? Sure. That average is if the player started playing the moment the game released, and after friending a couple of these players, I found out the one level 50 made his account in 2020. With those numbers and the creation date, he's averaged 318 miles a day. That's while managing to catch 500k+ pokemon. Cheaters shouldn't be rewarded. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 17 Jul 2021 06:15 AM PDT As this poster, from this Facebook post Anyway, so I stayed at home most of the day to play, using incenses. Nothing too exciting - caught a few shiny, which is nice. Only managed to complete one collection challenge - some of the Pokémon might appeared for 2 seconds then it gone. Lockdown also making the "walk 1km" task, and the 14 eggs that I am incubating - taking longer to achieve (haven't incubated any 10 or 12km eggs yet). But I am already lucky one that I live in a relatively quiet suburb, with big parks nearby that is safe to go. So at least I managed to refill some balls and gifts (although today's weather was extremely windy, so not a good day to be out anyway) It will be interesting tomorrow when somehow it is focus on on-site raid, when in theory we could only leave home for "essential reason". But at least seems the police has approved that playing Pokemon Go is one. [link] [comments] |
