Salty Sunday - Rage Rants and complaints Posted: 01 Aug 2021 01:00 AM PDT Have you been the one missing the Mewtwo EX raidpass? Maybe you haven't been lucky the whole week and that damn raid Tyrannitar ran and everyone else caught him. Or the worst part, maybe it's monday again?! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ Here we rant about everything that goes wrong, someone who sniped a gymspot ( ̄Д ̄), a missed Tyrannitar again (ಠ_ಠ) or that stupid bug which made you miss your raid because of the server desync, ending the raid prematurely (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ No personal insults, no trolls and provocation but all salty stuff is accepted.
(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ Don't forget to hydrate after all the salt! [link] [comments] |
Can I get an F for the pokestop and gym I used to be able to reach from my apartment. Posted: 01 Aug 2021 05:04 AM PDT I know it doesn't seem like a massive deal but with these changes rolling out a lot of people will be in the same boat. Generally this just makes the game worse, who is benefiting from the range being reverted? And as people have stated it will be a pain for people with disabilities or for players in countries with ongoing Covid restrictions. Even though it seems an overwhelming majority of players want the upped distance to stick Niantic has disregarded everybody's opinion and shown that they don't care. Look at this petition as an example (125,000 signatures) https://www.change.org/p/niantic-keep-increased-pokestop-and-gym-interaction-distance, guess its not too late to sign it and hope that the change can be reverted again. Does anyone else think the eggs are 95% crap? Posted: 31 Jul 2021 12:22 PM PDT I just hatched 3 10k eggs all Nincada.. I also hatched 3 eevee's with 5k eggs.. it really disincentives me from buying the larger incubator sets. Edit: My rage rant after hatching those eggs kind of blew up. Thank you for my first award kind stranger! [link] [comments] |
We’re going to get our pokestop interaction distance back! Posted: 01 Aug 2021 07:03 AM PDT Hi everyone, My name is PogoBoycott and I'd like to talk to you about the changes Niantic has started rolling out today and their choice not to respond to the concerns of the community. But first, a little about me. Like all of you, I have a life outside of the game and have enjoyed the increased accessibility added this past year. The increased radius has allowed me to get up and go: to play while carrying out my daily activities rather than having to choose to cross the streets at strategic places. I work in the service industry and am an elected member of my union's executive. In this role it is my responsibility to fight for employees' voices to be heard against a company that benefits from ignoring those same voices. Sound familiar? It has been my experience that the most potent way to make a company listen is to present an argument with a cost to benefit outline. I propose we do the same to Niantic. What do I propose? On every community day going forward, I propose that Pokémon players boycott all Niantic sponsors and instead make an alternative choice of where to shop that day. With millions of active players, this will potentially mean millions in lost revenue for sponsors and huge pressure on Niantic to find an amicable solution. Why are we boycotting sponsors? Niantic, like all companies, is motivated by revenue and the move to reduce pokestop interaction distances is at least partially motivated by the need to force players to move closer to real life sponsored locations. I believe that by making their choice to reduce pokestop size a direct reason for loss of revenue, we can reopen the exploration of a peaceful resolution. Should we reach a resolution, we will know it is a direct consequence of pressure from sponsors and we would then promote the community show appreciation to sponsors by making them the stop of choice for your community day needs. How effective could this really be? If we take online estimates of 800,000 active American players we can begin to examine the sway the players have. The average American spends $1200 on fast food yearly or $3.29 daily. With 800,000 active American users that's over $2.6 million per community day in potential lost revenue (likely more since weekends would expect higher volume) for American sponsors alone. I for one, always get drinks and snacks(~$20) at Starbucks with my partner prior to community day. Further, a company with players so frustrated that they initiate a boycott is never a good look for investors (see EA stock after the battlefront fiasco). A cohesive movement by the players can bring any company to their knees. We have all joked for years about how Niantic is terrible at communication, but enough is enough, it is time for your voice to be heard and it is time for action. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2021 06:08 AM PDT Since the roll backs start today for the US and New Zealand, are we all closing the app today in protest? I thought someone mentioned doing that. [link] [comments] |
It sure would be cool if my Pokémon could be sorted by candy. Posted: 31 Jul 2021 05:32 PM PDT It sure would be cool if my Pokémon could be sorted by candy. I really find it hard to keep track of who has enough candy. Putting them in order my candy would be awesome [link] [comments] |
A Home-Made August Event Calendar :] Posted: 31 Jul 2021 12:56 PM PDT Henlo! It me! Sorry I'm running late, but I was trying to make 2 styles of calendars for the month of August, and time seems to be short, so I had to make due with one style! The style I currently went with, was the American calendar system (starting with Sunday instead of Monday), and yes, to the Europeans around, I apologize for not having one that caters to the European calendar style this time around, but I'll be creating both versions for September! As per usual, the important things are marked with an exclamation mark symbol (not too many, I promise), and full info for Ultra Unlock Week 2 is shown at the bottom, alongside Eevee Community Day information! The calendar is made for both mobile and desktop, at a 1920 x 1080 resolution - If for whatever reason it doesn't work for you on mobile, give me a nudge and I'll re-size it! Click on this right here to be taken to the calendar image! :] Have a great week and good luck hunting the shiny Palkia/Kangaskhan/Heracross from raids! [link] [comments] |
Closest I’ve ever gotten to any sort of shundo. Took 28 encounters, should I power it up? Posted: 31 Jul 2021 06:58 PM PDT I have over 300 rare candies burning a hole in my inventory. I used up all the Dialga candies I already had, and it'll take another like 140 to fully power it up. Worth it or not? I've been saving the candies for a special occasion but I've been having a hard time pulling the trigger. [link] [comments] |
Please keep the incense effectiveness. Posted: 31 Jul 2021 03:20 PM PDT I'm going to stay away from the Covid talk because we all know that arguement. Tomorrow is when the increased effectiveness ends for the incense. And while this game is meant for us to move, the increased effectiveness has been a game changer for A LOT of players. There are those of us who do not live in areas with an abundance of pokestops where a lure is an option to attract these imaginary monsters. The incense gave these players a chance to see what its like and not gonna lie, its AWESOME. Or at least it was... Community Days were the mega bonus. Catching a numerous amount of shinies and comparing them for which one you want to keep was a HUGE bright side in all of this above the rest. You sick? You have a disability? You babysitting? You work from home? You can still play. But now you wont be able to. Sure you can log on and catch the 4 or 5 mons that spawn, but its not the same. If we were to throw money into this, I would say that people are more willing to spend their coins on incense rather than lures (unless they live at a Pokestop). Would people rather spend an hour at a park in one lured spot or at their house with an incense on while doing whatever they need to do? I cant be alone in this lol. In my opinion, I think this a big let down from Niantic. Yes its called Pokemon "Go". However, once they introduced this double effectiveness its changed things for the better. I guess they are banking all their chips on remote passes, and understandably so. I am a Day 1 Player at Level 46. I love this game, and would like to see it continue with new players. Putting the brakes on incense is, at least in my mind, a bad move. Players will still have to go out to stops and gyms to get items, or pay money for pokeballs. Then pay money for incense. Its a win-win I saw it as. I tried to share my opinion on this subject without having to mention the current status of public health. Feel free to comment and disagree or agree. Btw, off topic, I am 40 Dialga raids in and no shiny. So if you did not get a shiny Dialga either yet I feel your pain. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jul 2021 08:14 PM PDT After months and months of searching I have finally found ditto. I found it as a hoppip around 5 minutes ago . I couldn't hold in my excitement that I had to make a post instantly. [link] [comments] |
Remote raid passes replacing free raid passes Posted: 31 Jul 2021 04:59 PM PDT It is imperative for niantic to replace normal raid passes with remote ones, the reduction of pokestop and gym distance worsens the situation as we are losing interaction ability with game, this change should be implemented to aid with this current circumstance as it will allow friends to invite each other, anyone agree?? Is the pandemic bonuses turned off in New Zealand? Posted: 31 Jul 2021 08:48 PM PDT I'm at the zoo with my family and some stops and gyms which I was sure I could easily reach are now supposedly too far away. Have Niantic already turned off the pandemic features? I think I read they would turn off in New Zealand and maybe USA first? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2021 12:02 AM PDT As I logged in to PoGo today, I gave my last glance at our beloved bonus tab... [link] [comments] |
A little late but got my second shundo during go fest Posted: 01 Aug 2021 06:15 AM PDT Currently I have around 10,500 pokemon caught so maybe it was my 10,000th, but I'm not sure how i missed it http://imgur.com/a/ofHhw0v, It probably makes up for day 1, 5 shinies caught 3 being those chimichos [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2021 03:57 AM PDT Has anyone else had issues where when they are logging in, the app errors and forces you to sign out and back in again? Sometimes I'll be playing and get an error saying I can't connect to the servers and be forced to log back in as well. This has only started happening recently, but it happens every time I open the app. It's getting pretty frustrating as it resets my settings and deletes the teams I've created as well. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10 which is fully up to date, the app is fully up to date as well. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Using a gotcha may get your account banned Posted: 01 Aug 2021 07:31 AM PDT There has always been a doubt about whether using a Gotcha is considered cheating. An official response from Niantic (link below) confirms it's considered a third-party accessory and using it "may lead to strict actions on your account". https://twitter.com/NianticHelp/status/1414860227124637705?s=19 [link] [comments] |
Just me or did they extend all the covid benefits for another 31 days? Posted: 01 Aug 2021 07:18 AM PDT I see a bunch of people complaining about the reversion back to normal today (which I agree is bs) but on my pogo they re-upped all the covid changed for another 31 days? Im in Canada, but under the ultra unlock is a fresh bonus screen with all the same bonuses expiring in 31 days. [link] [comments] |
What is the rarest Pokémon you can catch in the wild? Posted: 31 Jul 2021 04:10 PM PDT I know that mewtwo and some Pokémon are unable to spawn in the wild but I'm unaware of what the rarest or the best wild spawns are. I'm guessing ditto is up there but I am honestly pretty clueless. If there is a list that would be helpful [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2021 03:38 AM PDT Throwback to a couple years ago and I was just a newbiebewbie to PoGo. I caught a shiny Murkrow. It was my first shiny. I transferred it because it had low IVs. Haven't found another - serves me right. [link] [comments] |
Made Eeveelution Buttons for a local giveaway Posted: 31 Jul 2021 02:37 PM PDT For a couple of months now I've made buttons for Community Day Giveaways, for this one I've made a set based off of the pokélids and I'm pretty happy about how they came out. Eeveelutions!! and a eevee too [link] [comments] |
Feature Request: Batch Open & Batch Send Gifts Posted: 31 Jul 2021 07:06 PM PDT Everytime I am at this screen I ask myself "why can't I just click *send all* or *open all* " Surely I'm not the only one right? [link] [comments] |
Screen crackling and flashing. Posted: 01 Aug 2021 05:29 AM PDT Im playing on Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T. Screen keeps crackling and flashing in green and red. Is there any way to fix this? [link] [comments] |
Interaction Distance Change Has Started To Roll Out Posted: 31 Jul 2021 06:55 PM PDT A few weeks ago they said they were going to to change the interaction distance for PokeStops, Gyms etc back to normal and I'm just letting you know that here in New Zealand they have made the change [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Aug 2021 07:57 AM PDT I want to comment on the reverted distance if it's here or coming soon. I don't understand why they can't keep it. It doesn't really even cost them anything. It was just a great quality of life improvement for players. It allowed you to still get out and walk around yet not have to cross the street to reach certain gyms or be in a crowd of people at certain places. I truly enjoyed walking around. I think remote raids are still here to stay in Niantic is making plenty of money that way. I think that the extended distance only helped a very, very small percentage of players reach a gym to be able to raid without remote pass. I can see many gyms from my house but I can't reach any of them with either distance. So I still had to get out and go there to raid or buy a remote raid pass. The extended distance just made everything a little easier and more fun. [link] [comments] |
